Corrupt Quicken 2009 File?

My boss uses Quicken 2009 on our terminal server.  All of his files open fine except for one, which stopped working "about a week ago."  I checked the file size for the file in question and it's over 1GB.  I have shadow copies turned on and I went back about a week and found a file that's 13MB.  I've copied it over from the shadow copy and tried opening it.  The problem is when I try to open it, it takes forever and eventually hangs up.  Meanwhile, the file size grows exponentially while the file is trying to open.

I've tried validating the shadow copy using the Quicken Validate File Option, and it validated fine, but it still has the same problems. Any suggestions?

Have you upgraded to the latest version of Quicken? They now offer R6 for Quicken 2009.
Make that R8
An easy way to upgrade,  Download QB 09 from their website  and install.
Your previous version install numbers will come up, enter them and go forth.
You'll be upgraded  to the latest for your vrs.
Cheers
The question was about Quicken 2009, not QuickBooks. And Quicken is at R6.

netadminjill, did you solve your problem? It's been 3 months...
I'll take the whipping with the wet noodle for my late night frolicking!

I'm still having this problem but I haven't had a chance to work on it lately.  I'll try the above suggestion and post back the results.
I'm having the same problem and I'm troubleshooting it right now.  should I come up with a solution, I'll post it here for points.
@netadminjill

I found this link;

I've set my clock to 12/31/08 and I was able to open my file.  So I'm giong to go through the recipe and see if I can fix the data.

The good thing is that the file can now open where it was stuck and growing.
