IE8 and .aspx site

IE8 breaks few places in the layout of the site Im working with and I like to enforce compatiblity mode. However the site is a bunch of .aspx file, Im unable to find something equivalent of index.php aka master page ( I come from apache/.htaccess/php eneivronment) to add a meta tag. The site is running on IIS so no .htaccess works here. Any way it can be added via web.config or via css?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Check for a file that ends in .master, that should be the master page and you could add the meta tag there.  If there's no master page check for something like Header.ascx and add it there, if still no luck post the code that's in one of the aspx pages and I'll be able to help more.
