Test Speed over Fiber

Hello all,
I have a client that has a point-to-point fiber connection between two cities.  He wants to verify that he is getting the true speeds that he was told that he would get.  Besides doing the calculations of large file transfers over the fiber is there any type of program that will calculate the speed that a person gets over fiber or other high speed connections?
Also, I am not looking at doing the DSL tests, I am looking at the speed from point A to point B within the same network.
Thank you,
Kelly W.

You can also use the windows builtin network monitor, but  by default it doesn't give you the speed, but you can add those columns from the VIEW menu above. Look at the picture
Try to copy one file from one site to the other and use this on the computer you are copying file to or from and look for your numbers. One is upload and the other one is download. As you can see there are tons more things you can monitor but I find Bytes per interval (aka bytes/sec) most useful
