i'm using the 2008 C# .NET Express version, are there free reorting tools and tutorials available for this? I don't suppose there is a way to use RAVE reporting with it is there? Just curious.

mikesExpertExchange,

I think that the only real freeish solution would be Microsoft Reporting Services?
Crystal and such cost for licencing - same for RAVE and most others.

Reporting services can be a real bitch to work with though.

Cheers,

So its probably better to just pay the licensing for crystal or Rave? i've worked with both of those, does .NET (C#) interface with both of them?

Yeah, I believe crystal is probably the choice of those two in terms of interface.
Not sure on cost though - not my area of involvement (sorry)

I've also heard good things about Report Sharp-Shooter, apparently it ties in quite well with .Net, but haven't had a play with it yet.
