thanks for the posting. &nbsp;the epson driver eventually working with a little bit of work and a new usb cord. &nbsp;it was strange to me that the cord would have an effect on the printing but not the scan capability of the unit. &nbsp;But i did manage to get the printer and scanner up and working thank you.<br />

I have installed my Epson CX4800 onto Vista Home Premium 64bit (using 64-bit driver from epson). &nbsp;However, the scanner function works but the printer will not work. &nbsp;it says that it is install but that there is a communication error.
