Cisco 2600 - Configuration settings will not save

Hi,

I've followed the password reset procedure at:-

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps259/products_password_recovery09186a0080094675.shtml

I have a problem when I go to reboot the device after an initial setup the configuration settings aren't saved to startup and I'm left with a blank configuration.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure if its related, but hyper terminal is unresponsive when being used with the router, I've resorted to using Tera Term.

You need to reset the config register back to 2102 (it's still 2142 which ignores the startup config).

conf t
config-reg 0x2102
end
