I have recently purchased a Dell Optiplex 360 with Windows XP Pro SP3. I am connecting a Canon Smartbase 1210D to it. However, Immdiately after install, whilst Printing a Test Page, Data Execution Prevention kills explorer.exe

I had Kaspersky AV 2009 installed, I have attempted to remove this but still no cigar. I have removed and reinstalled the driver several times, both from the included CD and the latest driver from the Canon Website.

Error from Event Log

Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.5512, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x02ccc3ec.

Any Help would be much appreciated! :)

I Disabled DEP by editting the boot.ini file and replacing /noexecute=OptIn to /noexecute=AlwaysOff

Worked Straight Away :)
