What is the last  SQL Server 2008 sevice pack? How can I verify if my SQL2008 dev has the lastest sp?

that will give you the sp installed

2008 has SP1

Which one of the above should I pick? My SQL2008 is running under WIN XP Pro.

RTM,  means the release to manufacturung edition, it is the first realease, you never installed a service pack
In case you have installed a service pack say SP2 the above query would have returned  SP2
