Hi, I have configured a wordpress mu blog with sub-folders options here http://www.42rules.com/newbrw/. I have configured 3 author blogs and all author blogs are working fine.

My problem is while access pages of main blog it redirected to the blog url.
If I am giving url like http://www.42rules.com/newbrw/home, it will redirect to the http://www.42rules.com/newbrw

Please check the code of htaccess file below.

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /newbrw/

#uploaded files
RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/$ index.php [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !.*wp-content/plugins.*
RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/(.*) wp-content/blogs.php?file=$2 [L]

# add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^.*/wp-admin$
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ $1/ [R=301,L]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule . - [L]
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-.*) $2 [L]
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L]
RewriteRule . index.php [L]

What are the URLs of your other author blogs?

Nevermind - I see them.

My guess would be that there's some code that checks to see if the full URL is a valid author blog, and if not, it tries to "auto-correct" itself. It's probably not the .htaccess file.

So basically, your author URL looks like:
http://42rules.com/newbrw/rob/.../

I'm guessing when you go to:
http://42rules.com/newbr/home/

The PHP is looking to see if there is a valid author blog called "home" and if not, it redirects. It's hard to tell what code has changed without seeing the actual PHP code, but that would be my guess.

Glad to hear it's working. I seem to have missed several notifications of comments added - I didn't realize you had said anything after my last comment. Apologies for that.
