just got some work done to display a swf gallery using a lightbox.

the website shows fine on mac versions of Safari and Firefox.

however, on the pc, the closing "X" doesn't appear in latest version of Firefox (3.5) and it doesn't show up in Internet Explorer (v 6.0.2900.)

even after updating IE to version 8, i still don't get the gallery!

also, the IE debugger says that i'm missing shadowbox's objects, which is not true as the entire directory is there. otherwise, wouldn't the other browsers show similar problems?

has anyone seen this problem before?

is it the lightbox source, JS, the CSS of the index.html, or Flash versions? this is weird! thanks!

I believe the error you are getting is based on a programming object...  like the object ID of the SWF or some other div

i found the solution to getting IExx to show the lightbox.

i needed to add the tag <meta http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible' content='IE=7' /> based on shadowbox.js info http://www.shadowbox-js.com/forum.html.

now i'm trying to figure out the 'x' closing button!
