Cisco Aironet 1200

Hi,
I'm trying to setup one of my cisco 1231's as a repeater, I believe I have set the right config on the repeater but it keeps erroring saying

"Interface Dot11Radio0, cannot associate: Not specified parent (from 0017.59f0.4fe1)"

I can only see an option on the repeater to specify it's parents, Am I missing a trick and need to do something on the normal access point, the parent to tell it to authorise the repeater?

Regards,

Gareth

i never actually specified a parent mac to get mine working.  been a while since I did mine but I should be able to help you out.

the main things I can remember is having to set the desired ssid as the infrastructure ssid on the main AP under the Security -> SSID Manager menu option.  then set the radio interface on the repeater AP as a repeater.    I can't remember if I actually had to add the desired ssid onto the repeater AP though as I see it in my config from the cli, but not in the GUI.

if that doesn't work, please post a sanitized config from the main AP and one of the repeaters (as file attachment please so post doesn't get extremely long, thx)
