Lock pages in memory

Does a reboot of box required after granting the sql service account in lock paegs in memory? Pls help

Locking pages in memory is not required on 64-bit operating systems. Ref below:

AWE and Lock Pages in Memory needs to be configured in 32 bit machines to make use of memory greater than 4 GB. Because 32 bit machines Windows Addressing can't access more than 4 GB and hence need to enable AWE to use memory greater than 4 GB.
