Can Forefront run on Windows 2008 Enterprise Server (x86)?

I have a Windows 2008 Enterprise Server and would like to install Forefront Security, but I receive, "This program has known compatibility issues" error message before it allows me to proceed with the installation. Is it okay to install on W2K8 Ent. Srv?

When I click "Check for solutions online" I receive, "No solutions found for Microsoft Forefront Security."

Depends what you mean by Forefront.

ISA 2000/2004/2006 will only run on 32 bit systems and not on any of the 2008 platforms, regardless of whether they are 32 or 64 bit. FTMG on the other hand only runs on the 64 bit 2008 platform.

If you are talking about clients then it changes again.

Hi Keith,

I'm not running ISA currently; you'll have to remind me what the acronym "FTMG" stands for in order to discuss.

I'm attempting to install Forefront Client Security onto a 32-Bit Enterprise 2008 Windows Server.

Does this help?

Forefront threat management gateway - ISA's replacement (ISA2009 - sort of) lol

Have a look at this first
