Blackberry Browser - viewing pdfs

We have recently purchased a fleet of blackberry curves which run from a BES.  By default the BBs are set to use the 'Blackberry Browser' as this is the browser which allows inclusive internet browsing within the contract.  For some reason however, when viewing pdfs from any website only the first page of the pdf is displayed, and when pressing the menu button there are no options to move onto the next page/previous page/go to page etc.  When receiving the same pdf by email, the pdf opens fine and all pages can be viewed.  Switching to the 'Internet browser' does allow pdfs via the browser to display properly, but we want to leave the browser default as 'Blackberry Browser'.  Has anyone come accross this problem before or have any suggestions?  In the BES service manager we do not have a proxy server set under MDC Connection Proxy Mappings, also we are using BES v5.0

What version OS are you running on the curves?  If it is 4.2, you are pretty stuck with the viewing issue.  Your best bet would be to go to 4.5.

The version we have is v4.6.1.199.  Was there a known issue with viewing pdfs via the BB browser?
