I have a problem generating a snapshot for merge replication on an SQL Server 2005 database.
The error message is as follows:-

The identity range allocation entry for the Publisher could not be found in the
 system table MSmerge_identity_range.
Ensure that the value for the @identityrangemanagementoption property is "auto".

How do I set the @identityrangemanagementoption property to "auto" ?

Thanks for the information, I adopted another approach because I had 51 articles to set up.
I removed the publisher and he subscriber and then set up the publisher again from scratch and that cured the problem. Prior to that, I inspected the properties of each article that was published and all were set to Automatic in any case so I think we were on the wrong track.
I have awarded the points to you anyway.

Best regards,

Roger
