I think the AT&T Netopia is a model23 3700 series.
I had the AT&T tech come out and put the router in bridge mode. I then assigned the public ips to each of 5 computers on the company's network (we will let the firewall on each computer perform the firewall function).
Since the device is now functioning as a swith/bridge, I thought that I would be able to remote to the public ips through the device. I cannot.
Is there a firewall or something I have to do to allow the packets to pass through the device.
NOTE: We changed it from ROUTER mode to BRIDGE mode because the AT&T tech came in and that is the way that she normally does it, plus I thought it would allow us to remote to machines without having to set up PINHOLES. I know PINHOLES is an AT&T-specifc term and have not set it up before.
Even though the device is acting as a switch/bridge, do you still have to set up PINHOLES or other feature to allow packets to pass through it that are oringinated from the Internet (like RDP on port 3389) to the pcs?
