I have an existing cisco VPN 3000 concentrator in production.  I need to switch our users to using our ASA 5510 which is also in production.  My problem is that I dont want to have to reset all of the users passwords.  I want to know if there is a way to export/import the users that are currently in the config file of the VPN3000 to the ASA.

The config file has a format like this:

[user 18.1]
value=0x28.0x49.0xA0.0x1B.0xDA.0x85.0x34
[user 18.2]
value=0x39.0x40.0xE3.0x4F.0x83.0x99.0x76.0xBD.0xCD
[user 18.25]
value=0x1F.0x49.0xCC.0x77.0xA8.0x4A.0x46.0xBE.0xAE.0xF0

I tried simply converting the hex into ascii (i figured it wouldnt work), but it doesnt translate properly.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Cisco has an online conversion tool, but you need special access to it. If you know your local cisco rep, get their SE to help you access it. or drop a note to vpn3k-to-asa-conversion@cisco.com requesting access to it.
