I'm reviewing some softwae at AJ Classifieds that reads "AJ Classifieds is a professionally developed PHP Classifieds script that was built with you - the site owner" What is a script?
Also, is there a command I can use to find out what other customers on the internet are running the same software?

You will likely receive a SET of scripts - probably numbering from 10-100 files excluding templates and including administrative files.
Read it: Web Space: Minimum 10 MB (for system without any Data. 1GB is recommended because the system may have lot of product images).
So you will receive a LOT of files :)

Please answer the following question:
Is a script a complete program? For example, am I getting the complete web site software noted on the site AJ Classifieds or just the php script?

I felt my question was only partially answered.

I agree that the original question was answered correctly. However, I added the following additional comment which I felt was not answered. "Is a script a complete program? For example, am I getting the complete web site software noted on the site or just the php script? " I wanted to know if a script is the actual website, including the html. I was not aware that I should close the ticket based only on the original question, because due to the response I recieved, I was adding a more detailed description of what I was looking for.
Also, I just noticed from the original question that the second part of the question was not answered. It is as follows:

And to answer the second question which got sort of lost in the semantic discussion: if I understand your question correctly you want to identify if other people are running the same software. If they have uniquely identifiable filenames, then you can try to google for such a name. Or if the sites advertise "built on software XYZ" However it is not likely and again something much more easy to answer by the producers of the software.
