Every application takes more than 15 mins to open up  like Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, etc..

How long does it take after you boot for the DriveBusy lite on your computer to become intermittent or go off for a period of time?  Do you attempt to open an application before the above happens.  Press Ctl+Alt+Del to bring up the task manager after your desktop appears and monitor the CPU Usage and number of Processes during the boot phase.  Without any keyboard activity, my CPU usage is often below 5%.
