Small Business Server 2008 Connect Computer Progam Problem

I have gone through the original article on this subject, but still the solution suggested in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957708 is not working for me.

I'm still using an SBS2003 and the new SBS2008 is running in test next to it in a different domain.

http://connect shows a website about Plesk.  Pinging CONNECT results in an internet address of 193.74.64.182.

If I adjust the hosts file with the new server's ip address and connect, I get to the proper SBS connect computer screen.  When running the install, however, it still comes with the error message:
Connect Computer Program - Error
An error occured while downloading the Connect Computer application. Please run this application again

This also happens when I run the launcher.exe from a usb stick..

I have tried with the firewall on the server turned off, pauzed the local escan internet security suite, but to no avail.

Any ideas anyone?

Can you paste the full ipconfig /all to check your settings please?

But I have done it manually for now, which works, on this one workstation.
It is the first of a number of machines I need to do.
If I run into this issue with one of the next machines, I'll be sure to copy the ipconfig /all of that machine in here.
