Exchange 07 & 03 Free/busy calander issue

we currently are migrating to exchange 07 from 03 but will be moving mailboxes in a staged approach so need both environments up and running.. I created a resource mailbox on the 07 box (conference room calander) and the free/busy info is ///// << lined out when trying to add as attendee..  It is doing this for both users on 03 & 07..  anyhelp working through this would be appreciated..

according to that article ..

Exchange 2007 Setup, in this case, creates a Public Folder database and automatically adds the Exchange 2007 Server to the OFFLINE ADDRESS BOOK and SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY system folders replica lists, so you only have to concentrate on replicating Public Folders

the new exchange bos was at the root of the public folder.. but i did add the box to the actual public folders...  I wont let me do anything with the OAB or FREE/BUSY system folders...

Hmm... Rollback the action what we have done using following KB and re-add the replicas..
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727370.aspx
Once it is done run ExBPA and check the configuration..

I have replicated your issue on my test servers : the following settings work well for me, nothing else..
I am using Win2003+Exchange 2007 with roll-up update 8
requirement of FB replication
Ex2003 side - Need to have exch2007 replica on all FB folders
on both servers the PF replication schedule is set to always.
Exchange 2007 - Removed the SSL from the "Public" folder web site on exchange 2007.
Mail enabled the FB folder (Not sure this is a hard requirement, i am testing this now by disabling it)

Have you roll back the action which we have done in MS KB? rebooted?

UDTExchangeAuthor Commented:
rebooted 07, restarted information store on 03 server... will reboot it later tonight...

No need to reboot 2003.. Have you rolled back the settings using ADSIEDIT?

UDTExchangeAuthor Commented:

Try running from exchange 2003 server.. Is it version, 2.8??
0
UDTExchangeAuthor Commented:
ok that was it....

so i point to the 03 server adds the 07 server when i go back to look its gone...
if i point to the 07 server i dont have the option to add the 03 server

as far as resetting the system folder .. do i add the same guid to both exchange servers admin groups?
and if that doesnt work... im not sure if its worth calling Microsoft?.. I have a few utility production mailboxes on the 07 server this was my last hang up prior to fully migrating my 03 boxes..   I have another server i was building to cluster this server with...  thoughts on uninstalling and just reinstalling on my other server??? What if the issue is on the 03 server...??

Missing Anonymous;Non-canonical order;Multiple allows and/or denies for the same SID;
Missing Anonymous;
Unresolved SIDs;Missing Anonymous;

Is DACL test shows any issue for FB folders?
Try to propagate replica list > Select all PF server Click OK > Select All servers > Select Add > Click OK.

If it is not working then do for the system folder reset or as you said removing public folder and start from scrach, But before that I would suggest you to contact Microsoft to check and see if thay have any fix for this..

Ex2003 side - Need to have exch2007 replica on all FB folders
on both servers the PF replication schedule is set to always.
Exchange 2007 - Removed the SSL from the "Public" folder web site on exchange 2007.
Mail enabled the 2007 FB folder

Are you able to send and receive mails internally?
0
UDTExchangeAuthor Commented:

Did you track the mail?

UDTExchangeAuthor Commented:
I started another question lastnight.. not sure if you want to jump over there ( no one has responded yet.. ) so you can get the points??

the recieved external mail is sitting in the iron port SMTP outbound Q on the 03 server  almost like it doesnt know how to resolve my mailbox back to the 07 server... the really odd thing is it just kind of disappears from there... i dont get anything back to my msn account saying it was bounced....
0
UDTExchangeAuthor Commented:
I actually think i know what i need to do but am unsure how to do it..

after looking at the connector i see the  default smtp from my 03 server is there but not the ironport how do i add this???
