Seo: how do the tlds (.co.uk, .org, .com, .net) perform in google searches from the uk?

Good day,

I am planning some domains I would buy to promote services in the uk.

I'd like to hear about the performance in general of the extensions in the uk, from a google results aspects.

For an example, all other things being equal:
Will the .co.uk rank better (or worse) than the .com, in a google search for a user located in the uk? How about the .org, does it perform well in the uk, like it does in the us?

I am looking from people that would have real world SEO experience answers, please.  No just theorical assumptions.  Thank's in advance!

All other things being equal, a country tld, hosted on a server with an IP from that same country will beat out the .com
I'm not sure what happens when you have a .co.uk domain hosted on a server in another country vs a .com hosted on a server with an IP in the UK, though.
