I would start with a memory test with memtest86+ after that i would do a chkdsk c: /f then after all that i would run a virus and malware scan with combofix from http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe.

After all that comes back clean then i would run SFC /scannow and you still have the error i try reinstalling the program to see if the error goes away.

Hi CT,
Thank you for your help, but my lap top will not allow any updates.
I can not run the programs you suggest
I have run CCleaner and Errorfix and Regcure as well as spyware doctor. Still no effect.
I hope you can help,

To run the commands yI would ou need to click on start click on run type cmd press enter and try again.

It sound like ether the Operating system is damaged or there is an virus.

I recommend if you have a usb flash drive going to another computer and downloading a program called combofix http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe

After you have download the program you can then  plug in to your laptop and run it before you run it turn off your antivirus software before running.  After that you can post the log file here.

Here is one thing to keep in mind that after all this you might have to backup your important files and reinstall your OS.
