route deletion

I need to know how to delete a static route or any route for that matter on a cisco 1800.
If you can give me the commands I will appreciate it.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

let's say you have:

ip route 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.255

or anything like that

Just do:

no ip route 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.255

So whatever the route is in your running config, just put "no" in front of it

This works to remove any setting on a Cisco router by the way.

Do as khyer123 says. no ip route is the command you're looking for. But it only modifies the running configuration. If you want to make the change permanent then you need to issue the

# write

command after you'e done with deleting the routing.
