Yes, the 7940G has a built-in 10/100/1000 port where as the 7940 has a 10/100 port.

Sorry! I was wrong:

The "G" in 7940 G stands for Global, the 7940 G uses icons on the four soft keys instead of English text. This allows non-English speaking users to recognize their function more easily. Cisco has discontinued the production of the 7940 and only manufactures the 7940G now.
