I have setup an Asterisk now server with FreePBX version 2.5.1.5. I can get into the web GUI from my internal network, but I would like to setup access remotely. I have a firewall and tried to port forward port 80 and it will not connect outside my LAN. How do I allow access to the web gui from outside my LAN?

Using the GUI over public networks, is not at all secure.
You should use ssh or other tunneling method.

Here's another one, which includes part of the same solution for remote access.

I don't know of a way to enable ssl on the web gui.  From what I was told, it is inheriently insecure if used accross a WAN without a vpn, encryption, or other tunneling method.
