Error code 1722 on system running Vista Enterprise

We are working in an Active Directory environemnt and are migrating to VISTA Entrprise at the moment. Due to the large amount of systems and there remote location we are using tools such as HYENA and DAMEWARE to access the systems.
When trying to install a printer (no printer server available) on a remote system using Hyena I constantly receive an Error 1722 The RPC server is unavailable.

What can I do to stop this from happening ?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are you sure the RPC service is actually running on those machines?? Also, do you have admin permissions on the server?? And last but not least, is the firewall disabled?? It might be that during the upgrade the machines enable their local Firewalls thus chutting you out from the machine

RPC service is running and yes I have admin rights. The firewall is disabled via GPO. I can access the systems using DAMEWARE and actually logging on to the system but that is too invasive for just adding a printer.

Do you see any other issues on the machine in the event viewer? Some services that aren;t started like the browser service and the workstation service?? Normally i'd say you should see some errors in the event vioewer of your destination machine.

Error logs on remote systems show nothing out of the ordinary no errors. Services are set as they were on XP and we had no issues accessing system there. We don't use the every day security baseline. It's been modified to fit our security needs.

Strange... I do see some people yelling about the spooler service, but i guess you've allready restarted that?.. The sharing feature is also enabled on the Vista machine? Are you able to contact the c$ share for example?
