I'd like to have more fancy writings,
How can I edit the writing below, How can I make it bold, or italic,
How can I change the text size in Flash8?
text1.text = "Please Click for more information";

this.createTextField("text1", this.getNextHighestDepth(), _root._xmouse,_root._ymouse,100,100);
text1._visible = false;
text1.autoSize = true;
text1.text = "Please Click for more information";
text1.selectable = false;

See sample code.

However I would suggest that you use a movieclip instead of text for the tooltip so you can draw it out yourself.

var format1:TextFormat = new TextFormat(); // text format
format1.font = "Arial"; // font type
format1.size = 20; //size
format1.bold = true; // bold
format1.italic = true; // italic
text1.setTextFormat(format1);
