Saving Cognos Reports to file

I have set up some cognos report to run on a schedule and save as a pdf file to a folder on the server. The problem is that this only seems to work for the initial run. All subsequent runs of the report only render the xml files...not a  pdf document...even though I have renamed and moved the original pdf document out of that folder. Is there something I need to do to allow the same report to run multiple times?

I think I was able to solve this.  Scheduling through Event Studio seemed to cause issues but when I scheduled the same reports through Cognos Connection it seems to work fine.
