Can someone help me use the slider component in Flash CS4 to control a movie clip's timeline? I searched the solutions and I cannot find one that solves the problem, although other people have asked.

To reiterate, I would like to be able to use the slider component in CS4, and customize it to control the timeline of a movie clip. I would like this to be able to publish in AS 3.0, but if that isn't possible, 2.0 will be fine. Thank you!

Here is a link to a video player that I made from scratch in AS3. You can download the .fla and get what you need out of it. It has options for play, pause, stop , resume, scrub, timeline, etc. All of the code is in the first frame so it is all in one place. I tried to mark it up as best I could to explain what is going on with each piece of code.

But to answer your question, yes you can use the slider to control the movie clip.

p.s. you may want to use your own video, the sample one I have there is a bit coarse with the language (although very funny).
