I am a newbie to networks. I was wondering how you would launch a program to run under another server.
This is Windows environment (I suppose it's NT).
For example, if a program uses too much resources on my local computer, I want to run a command line, or call from vbscript a program to launch on another cpu that i have the username and password for.
Is this possible?
Currently I'm going to just try to use remote server and run it, but I wanted to run this from a .BAT file, or vbscript file on my local file so I don't have to log in.

You could use something like PSEXEC, which allows you to remotely execute commands.  More details are at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897553.aspx
