Manually applying McAfee EPO policy

Hi

We are running EPO 4.0 and McAfee 8.5 Patch 7 clients.

Let's say I have an on-access scanner policy named Policy1 that has specific exclusions set.

A server has a generic policy, Policy2, applied that doesn't contain any exclusions. I want Policy1 applied to the server immediately, so I apply the policy to the server on EPO.

How can I force the policy to be applied immediately? Is there a way for the server to manually pull the policy down and apply it?
Otherwise, how long until it checks EPO, noticies that there is a new policy that has been applied, and then applies it?

Hi Kam

You can do an agent wakeup call which will tell the epo agent to check in to the server in the next 60 mins, or you can open up cmd on the target machine and;

c:\program files\mcafee\common framework\cmdagent /s

Once you've opened that, click check new policies
