I have Peachtree 2008 running on a server and i need to move it to a faster/better server.  What is the best procedure to do this.  There are 2 workstations that have the client installed and they have a drive mapping for the company data.  Thanks

1) Install PeachTree 2008 onto the new server normally.
2) Migrate a copy of the company data from the first server to the second.  This data can be in several locations, but for example, look in C:\Program Files\Sage Software\PeachTree\Company.
3) Share the drive on the new server as it was shared on the first server.  (Don't forget access rights for users).
4) Change the drive maps from the workstations to the new server.
That should be all that is needed!

Really the key on the new server is just to have the company data installed so that the workstations can share it.  You can use a ptb backup from the old server to create the company on the new server.
