Hi  all,

I want to include deductions in my invoices such as 100 dollars off when they have been recommended by another customer or 1.5% discounts when they pay by cheque. Could someone tell me how to do this in Quickbooks 2009.

Thanks,

Derek

There are a couple of ways:
1, In an Invoice, look at the Terms function. You can have Terms for Net 30 days, for a Discount Percentage, for a Discount within (say) 10 days.

2. In the Item list you can create a Discount Item that will take a percentage or an amount from the subtotal of an invoice.

Those are two basic ways that are very easily implemented.
