Hello, one of my clients is using motorola q's. Just today the client noticed that any new, unread mail does not make it to their phone. However, once the item has been read, it will sync down to their phone. No changes have been made on their system that I'm aware of. They are running exchange 2003. The client also uses blackberries that are having no issues. ANy help would be appreciated.

Sure it isn't a view?
Sync occurs at a message level - not the read/unread status. Therefore I have to wonder if there is a view involved which is hiding the messages.

Would the view be setup on the server or on the phones? I just find it hard to believe that a view was changed on every individual phone.

The way the question has been worded indicates that it is a specific device.
It is very important that you make it clear whether it is all users or just a specific one.

That being said, I can think of no way that the device or the server can be setup so only old messages are synchronised unless something very odd is being done for email collection for example.

There was an issue with our antivirus software. Once we corrected the antivirus software issue, everything was fine.
