Windows cannot load the locally stored profile possible problems may include insufficient security rights

I have about 30 using RDP to a Windows 2003 Server named Apps. Recently, after a new Domain Controller all users get Windows cannot load the locally stored profile possible problems may include insufficient security rights. Then it loaded temporary profile. A reboot of Apps solves the problem until the next day.
I do have backups run at night.
Any suggestions?

Could be some kind of corruption in your AD maybe. The terminal server looks at the new DC with a corrupt (or old) directory, fails to authenticate the users, but when you reboot the new DC it forces the server to find another DC  - which has a good copy of the directory.
Maybe your backup process temporarily makes the original DC unavailable and so the TS switches back to the broken DC again.
Check that your new DC is being replicated to properly. Force a replication to it via Active Directory Sites and Services.

Thank you, I will try that. I did find that if suspend the backup, I do not have the problem.
