While programming my J2ME project ,I face the signing problem ,
some functions doesn't work fine , like "System.getProperty()"  , it returns null for some inputs , wen i search for the reason i found that ""The MIDlet must be signed, otherwise this value is NULL.""

so how can i do this or what i should do ??

You might be able to write a cert, but that link will only work on certain phones and it is dated.

You should know what certs it has on it and where they are located. You may also be able to change permissions on your phone which may help alleviate the problem. You'll have to identify the phone. Maybe look around in the settings.

You should have a midlet that runs in an emulator.

Here is one of many blog posts related to frustrations with Midlet signing.

Check your phone. You should know what version/type it is and what it supports. The vendor should supply specs. For example, if you were using a Nokia 6275i you could check the specs page under APIs and see if what you are trying to do is supported.
