GAL not updating Outlook 2007 in Cached mode, SBS 2003

Hello,

Fixes tried -
1. Restart outlook (Waiting for process to stop)
2. Waiting for GAL to update over night - Failed even after 1 week.
3. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841273 Q12 (Downloading GAL)
4. Remove profile and deleted OST, setup mailbox again.

My GAL will not update in cached mode. OWA and non cached mode is working great however in cached its just not updating. This has worked in the passed 3 months as I setup a PF with send as rights and the GAL updated and the send as worked (after restarting Outlook) however same process now and its not updating.

I have tried the above any more idea....

My server gets MS updates monthly and Computer every day.

ARGH!

Ace.

It sounds like it could be a problem with your clients downloading the Offline Address Book or with the server updating the OAB after the GAL is changed.

When you say GAL not updaing in CACHED mode it means your OAB is not updating.
In ESM > go to recipient > Offline address book > Properties of Default offline address book.
go in to the propertiesand change the update interval > cutomize.
Select sunday to saturday all time and apply.
Dismount and mount the public folder store and then wait fopr some time and try downloading the OAB on the clients manually

FIXED IT. Nothing to do with OAB it was the NK2 files copy of the email address. Simply delete the entry from the Nickname file and job done.
