hyperlink to task within outlook email

I have a script that emails the updated notes of a task when they are changed. The email goes out to a catch all email address so we can all see them. I would very much like to be able to add a hyperlink into the body of the email which means the task can be opened and viewed.
The tasks are Business Contact Manager tasks so everyone can open them locally even though they are stored on a server. They behave exactly as if they were a task item object (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb267938.aspx) so if someone can get it working for a task then I can change the code to get it to work for a BCM project.
Thanks Ed.

Hi, Ed.

You don't need code to create a hyperlink to an item, although it may be easier.  You can hyperlink to any item in Outlook using the link formatted described here: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/links.htm  Despite what the article says you do not need the angle brackets.  If everyone is using Outlook 2007, then you may also need to add the URL protocol handler.  This page describes how to do that: http://mutable.net/blog/archive/2006/09/02/how_to_hyperlink_to_microsoft_outlook_messages.aspx
