In our organization I have access to our Symantec reporting website as shown below. I wanted to setup email alerts to notify me when a virus was detected on a machine in my area of responsibility. The problem is that this is not working. At first I though that maybe and email server to send out emails was not configured, however, I went a step further. As you can see below I can use the most generic settings here that should pull up many alerts but there is no event data. I know that we have had plenty of viruses in the past year but nothing shows here. I think that if I can figure out why the alert events are not working then getting the email alerts working should be relatively easy. What could be wrong, what should be checked? Thanks in advance!
