Connect an Xserve Raid to Dell Poweredge 2970

I have been researching how to install an Xserve Raid on my Dell Poweredge.  I have reset the network cards on the Raid, and I am able to connect to the box via Raid admin, but the fiber connection does not come up.  I am connecting to a newly installed Intel fiber card on my Dell server.  Any insight would be greatly appriciated.
