Multiple Ordner

Hi All,

Please have a look at the file I inserted. I have a normal mailbox and an archive but there are 3 more mailbox as well which contain the very same data then the normal mailbox.
How could I remove the redundant mailboxes?

I can't close it because the option is inactive.

Thanks,

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Looks like you need to check what version of Outlook / Office you are using and make sure you have the latest Service Pack Installed:

Outlook / Office 2003
http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/details.aspx?familyid=E25B7049-3E13-433B-B9D2-5E3C1132F206&displaylang=en

Outlook / Office 2007
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b444bf18-79ea-46c6-8a81-9db49b4ab6e5&displaylang=en

If you dont have the latest SP installed, install it and check again.
If there are still listed, try to close them after you have installed the service pack.

If you are using Office 2007
Go to
Tools>Account Settings>Data Files
Select the Personal Folder(s) and choose remove

If it wont allow you to remove them, close Outlook and re-open using
Start>Run>outlook.exe /safe

Then try it again

I found an option called "Datendateiverwaltung" and if I open it I can remove the folders I don1t need.
The option is to see if I close all Ordner on the left hand site.
