In IE 7 and 8 the welcome screen appears each time you open Internet explorer until you save the settings. How can I get rid of this without doing the obvious time and time again?

I have pushed out via group policy that the homepage should be our intranet. Because many people havent completed the welcome screen settings, this doesnt display as their homepage so i need a way of doing it automatically?

There are two registry values you need to edit as follows:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
RunOnceComplete=dword:00000001
RunOnceHasShown=dword:00000001
