IE8 and mouse flickering

I just installed IE8 yesterday, and now my mouse seems to be flickering super fast when I run the mouseover text or a hyperlink.   I am using the standard mouse pointers...The arrow, the selection tool, and the hand.   So, for example, when I run the mouse over text, it flickers between the arrow and the selection tool....Same for hyperlinks.   Very annoying.  How can I get the mouse back to the way it was in IE8?   It works as it did before with all of my other apps.

It may be an add-on or browser helper object, try this:

Start menu >> Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)
