System shuts down when deleteing a registry key
Trying to Uninstall SolidWorks 2009 and their support site tells me to delete some registry keys left behind in HKEY_CURRENT_USER
some of the entries I can delete but there are some subfolders that when I try to delete them the systems shuts down and I when I turn it back on i get a message saying the system has recovered from a critical error. I have also tried to delete the keys in safe mode and tried to make a script to delete them but I get the same result.
I could call SolidWorks support, but the answer from them is to reinstall Windows which is too time consuming and shouldn't be the only option.
So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
