Exchange 2007 migration "SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY"
Hi All
I'm currently experiencing a problem with my exchange 2003 to 2007 migration. The users I've migrated across to the exchange 2007 server can see both the exchange 2003 and 2007 users free\busy status but the exchange 2003 users cant see the exchange 2007 free busy status.
I've tried many solution I've found on Google with no luck. I found the following article http://blog.stealthpuppy.com/exchange/exchange-server-2007-and-public-folder-replicas and tried to run the options given but I get an error.
I ran the below with no problem
Get-PublicFolder -server exchsvr "\non_ipm_subtree\SCHEDULE + FREE BUSY" -recurse | Format-List
When I run the below I get an error
Set-PublicFolder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE + FREE BUSY\EX:/o=MYCompany/ou=Fi rst Administrative Group" -Replicas "exchsrvr2003\Public Folder Database"
The error I get is
Database "exchsrvr2003\Public Folder Database" was not found. Please make sure you
have typed it correctly.
At line:1 char:1
+ S <<<< et-PublicFolder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE + FREE BUSY\EX:/o=
MYCompany/ou=First Administrative Group" -Replicas "exchsrvr2003\Public Folder Database"
but when I run the 3rd script it ran ok
Set-PublicFolder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE + FREE BUSY\EX:/o=MYCompany/ou=Ex change Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)" -Replicas "exchsrvr2007\Public Folder Database"
When I look in the event viewer I dont get any errors
I hope someone can help me
many thanks

Hi Subsun
Many thanks for getting back to me. I dont have "SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY" folder under the Public folders section on my exchange 2003 system. Would I have to create it? as I have read that it may cause problems with everyones email if I create is now?

Hi Subsun
Ok I've done what you asked and everything seems to sync ok but I still cant see the exchange 2007 users free busy status as it is still hashed out. When I go into the properties of the schedule+ free Busy on the exchange 2007 server I get the attached error
exchange-2007.bmp
The replication may take some time.. If you are still not getting the free/busy then enable the diagnostic logging and check the event log for errors..

Hi Subsun
I can now see the free/busy status on some of the users but others I can't. When I start outlook with "outlook.exe /cleanfreebusy" then after a while I can see that users free/busy status, again nothing in the event viewer. Do you know why I need to start outlook with the /cleanfreebusy option before I can see it?

Did you enable the diagnostic logging?
Use Updatefb.exe to republish absent free/busy data..
