Lotus notes address synchronization not working

We just activated a user's new blackberry (he lost his last one) and synced it within Blackberry Enterprise Server to his Lotus Notes Account again.

His contacts didn't transfer over, so what we have to do, is on his machine or from the server go to 'Actions, Synchronize Address Book' and it should copy local address book over to the server for Domino Web Access which in turn lets the Blackberry services access them.

Unfortunately when we do this we get a little pop up saying that "Only the owner of this database, (database name) can perform synchronization." (I've attached an image of the error).

We receive this when performing on an Admin client/server as well.  It is not just for this user is appears for everyone. Both Admin account and Owning User are listed as owners/managers. I did try and do the following with no success. http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Office_Productivity/Office_Suites/Lotus_SmartSuite/Lotus_Notes/Q_23574517.html?sfQueryTermInfo=1+access+domino+syncron+web

It does seem if I go on other users local accounts that I can sync fine. I have no idea if this has anything to do with the blackberry server reactivating to his account (I doubt it but can't confirm).

Any ideas?

I would use the BB desktop amanger to sync his contacts locally.

Also good for backing up all the BB data not stored on the server.

 I hope this helps !

I would check the owner of the account ( not the ACL ) but the mail owner as listed in the tools option
Mail owner

In R8 it is in File -preferences- Mail - Owner tab

I think in R7 only the owner could run the agent. They didn't include a delegated contacts model until version 8. Since you said you went to Actions Synchronize address book i'm going to assume you are on 7?

Yes we are running 7 Admin Server and Notes  8 on the user's computer.

When the client machine was initially setup was it installed using another users account or a standard addressbook copied to the machine.

Similar to a mailfile, the local address book has a button (Tools/Preferences) that lists the assigned owner of the address book.

This must match the full name of the user in the blackberry server.

I ended up redoing http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Office_Productivity/Office_Suites/Lotus_SmartSuite/Lotus_Notes/Q_23574517.html?sfQueryTermInfo=1+access+domino+syncron+web and rebooting the server. Then from the users computer tried address syncing. This time it let me sync to the Lotus Web Access database contacts.

No idea why it didn't work before, but it worked this time.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
