Hello experts,

I am running Solaris 10 on Sun Enterprise E4500 server. A few days ago received a message informing me about boot archive inconsistancy so I followed Sun's guide on how to manually update boot archive by first booting into failsafe mode and then running bootadm command. The procedure required editing vfstab to boot off only the primary mirror and I've done all that.

However, after the final reboot I suddenly received an error during boot:

seek failed
(Can't load tod module)
Program terminated

I can't find any useful info on this error or how to fix it. Can anyone help?

javeedabdul:i don't have a "lack of root filesystem space error message". Do you still think that the procedure described on that site will help me with my issue?

I discovered that this error was due to newly installed kernel patches.
