Hi Experts,

Our Exchage server shut the dbase down last night when trying to perform maintenance.  This seemed to be the first error in the Event Viewer.  I rebooted the server this morning and everything worked fine...  However it may crash again when performing it's maintenance.

Can anyone guide an Exchange 2007 Novice on how to correct this issue?  Everything has been working great for awhile without issue.

How much free disk space do you have ?

We have two partitions and they both have at least 15gb's of free space.

Looking at a few other websites, it almost looks like it's not hard drive space issue, but the space used for internal processing.  Not unless it's becuase we haven't rebooted the serveral in awhile and this is one of those one off issues.

Okay...

I ran that and under Critical Issues:
1.  Exchange store does not start
2.  Offline address book definition is missing
3.  VMware detected (I don't think MS likes VMware)

Are there any other areas you would like me to report on?

Thanks!
As per the reoprt
1. Is that referring to you information store service or public folder store ?
2. I think OAB is set to Web Distribution only so the error is coming check in.
Exchange Managemet Console.....Under Organisaation...Mailbox Role....Offline Address Book
3. Well MS likes VM Ware but its some of the flavors :)

==== Make sure if you have AntiVirus not exchange aware...then store is excluded from it
==== There is no othere activity running during its maintanance....

We do hav a NAS backup job going on from 1:00 - x:xx.  Maybe that did it...  I'll reschedule the backup job not to proceed from 1:00 - 5:00 am.  (That's the time listed within the EMC.

The original error that you posted is not an error - it is a report.
It does not mean that you only have 14mb in the store - replace the word "free" with "white" in the error and it becomes clear what it is actually saying. There is 14mb of white space, which will be used before the physical size of the store is increased.

Thank you for your help.  It seems that one of the backup jobs did run during the time that Exchange runs the maint. process on the database.
