Try installing the converter on the second disk (D) and redirect the temp to the D.  It looks like the C drive doesn't have enough space.

I have downloaded the latest convertor for VMWARE (4.0.1 build 161434 ) and installed this on the e: drive.  Still get the same response.

The physical host is an MS Exchange server.  I have tried to P2V with all exchange services stopped.  Still get the same failure.  The problem seem to relate to the Exchange VSS Writer failing: Error code 0x50d when preparing for backup.
Even attempting a P2V after a server reboot when no other VSS backups could be running still fails.

Installed version 3.0.3 of the convertor.  Although this would fail to convert the drives containing the exchange data, it would allow me to convert the system drive, which was all that was needed.
